Klukhor pass

Klukhor pass is situated at the altitude of 2781meters, and you can follow from Teberda river valley to the Black Sea shore through it. It is the part of Suhumy millitary road. There were severe battles of the Soviet Army against the Nazy invaders during the Great Patriotic War here in 1942.

You can get a splendid view of the Main Caucasus Ridge mountains from here. On your way from Teberda to Klukhor pass the Gonachkhir narrow pass, Dombay Ulgen, Bu-Ulgen valley, Chetchy massif view leaves great and unforgettable impression. The picturesque Klukhor Lake is also situated there.

The Marukh pass is situated west of Klukhor one and at the altitude of 2739 meters. It is famous due to heroic struggle of Soviet soldiers in 1942-1943. "Gazavtsek-path"'s pass begins from Chereck and Kara-Su canyons, going through the beautiful valley and Shutlu glacier (2120m) and then comes to Georgia.

The route to Triber pass comes from Chegem canyon through Gara-Auz-Su gorge and Chegem highland tourist camp to the pass, which spreads to Georgia. The Mariisky pass is located at altitude of 2200 meters and it is 26 kilometers far from Kislovodsk and just on the watershed ridge between Podkumok and Mara rivers sources. The shortest way to Karachaevsk town and Teberda resort goes through this pass. The beautiful view of Elbrus Mountain and mountainous regions of the West Caucasus is opening from Mariisky pass also.
